Lolliepop's Memory Bears

Hi Guys. I just wanted to do a little post which isn't beauty related. You may or may not know (if you follow me on instagram you'll definitely know) I have an 11 moth old daughter. Babies grow up so quickly and its frustrating when you buy all of these beautiful baby clothes for them to only wear them a handful of times before they grow out of them.

So when a friend of mine told me that she had started to make "memory bears" I thought this was a perfect way to re-use all of my daughters beautiful clothes!

Memory Bears are basically teddies that are made from old clothes. This can be a loved ones clothes, someone that's passed away, old baby clothes or just any fabric that you like or that is special to you!

My daughter now has two bears as I love them so much. Its so much nicer than getting rid of special clothes or just having them sat in a box somewhere. I chose all of the clothes that she wore a lot and I think that these bears look adorable sat in her bedroom.

Its so simple. All you have to do is contact Lolliepop's Memory Bears through their Facebook page or via their email (lolliepopsmemorybears@hotmail.co.uk). You then post the clothes to them (6-10 items of clothing) and a week later you receive your bear. With my daughters they even took a bow off of her old trousers and put it on the bears ear and they took an embroidered bird off of another pair of trousers and added it to the bears foot.

I am so pleased with my bears that I just wanted to share them with you. Please visit their Facebook Page (Lolliepop's Memory Bears) if you get a chance and check out their other bears!

Garnier Moisture Match | Review

Hi guys! I have almost run out of my YON-KA pamplemousse moisturiser that I received in my December Joliebox. So when I was in Boots on Sunday I was looking for a new moisturiser. I have very dry skin and my all time favourite moisturiser is Clarins Hydraquench but this retails at £34.00 and I cannot justify spending this on a small tub of cream!

So whilst in Boots looking for an affordable moisturiser I saw the Garnier Moisture Match which is their new line of moisturisers which are tailored to every skin type. The range includes 5 moisturisers  one for normal, normal/dry, dry/very dry, dull and combination oily skin types so they pretty much cover every skin type. I picked up the pink one which is for dry to very dry skin. It says on the box that it is "24hour hydration, non greasy, fast absorbing, ultra hydrating."

This particular one comes in a pink tube. Depending on your skin type the packaging colour will be different. It has 50ml of product, the ingredients include camelia oil and shea butter. It has a really nice light floral scent. When I put this on my face it felt lovely, really hydrating and made my skin feel very smooth.

As it said on the box it did absorb into my skin very quickly which I really liked as it left my skin feeling nice and prepared to start applying my makeup. I hate it when a moisturiser leaves a slight residue on your skin. I find a lot of moisturisers that are tailored for dry skin tend to do this and it just makes your makeup slide off quicker.

So far I really like this moisturiser and it was really cheap (currently £3.99 in Boots). I can’t say what the other ones are like but if you have dry skin and struggle trying to find a decent affordable moisturiser then I definitely recommend going to Boots and getting one of these whilst their on offer!

Rimmel London Apocalips | Review | Swatches

If you follow me on twitter you'll know that I have recently been trying out the Apocalips in the colour 400 BIG BANG. These have been raved about in the "Blogging world" since they were released back in January. As soon as they were released I went out and got the colour BIG BANG which is a vibrant red.

I find it really hard to find the perfect "pin-up girl" red so when I saw this I had to have it. I have read many reviews saying that these are a high-street version of the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis À Lèvres and when I hear of a high-street dupe I have to try it! I think that the Rimmel Apocalips are extremely good in the sense that they stay on for at least 5 hours without having to reapply, the colours really pigmented and the doe foot applicator makes the application very easy.

The only downside of this I think is that it does bleed, I have started using my MAC lip liner in Cherry when using the apocalips as I find there is nothing worse than when a lipstick/gloss bleeds. The other issue I had with it was the taste/smell it reminded me of powder paint that I used to use when I was at school (remember those powder paints that you had to mix with water and could never get the right consistency) but I can put up with those issues as the colour is so amazing, I am definitely going to try the other colours.

You can buy these in BOOTS and they are £5.99 each, they come in 8 different shades I think that my next purchase will be the colour Apocoliptic!

Have you tried Rimmel's Apocalips? What did you think of them?

Mememe Goddess Rocks

Hi Guys, recently I have been trying Mememe's Goddess Rocks. Like all of Mememe's products I think that the packaging is adorable, these bronzing rocks come in a little grey pot which has the Mememe Cherub on top.

There are two different shades of rocks in the pot, one is a gold colour and the other is more of a rose gold. These rocks are highly pigmented so you only need a very light hand otherwise it can look very over the top, they are also very creamy and easy to apply. I really like the fact that these give a really nice sunkissed glow and aren't too glittery.

I have been using these as more of a highlighter rather than bronzer. You can also use the
individual rocks as eye shadow, which I really like as I am obsessed with wearing golds on my eyes at the moment. I am looking forward to using these in the summer when I have a tan as I think that you could use these on quite a natural look to give you a glow.

I bought these rocks when they were on an offer and got the Mememe brush free. these rocks retail at£12.50 but are currently on offer for £10.00! - www.mememecosmetics.co.uk

Current make-up Favorites

There have been a few products this month that I have been loving.

The first product is Laura Mercier’s silk creme foundation, I have always used Estee Lauder’s Double wear but as my skin is so dry I find this really dries out my skin. Laura Mercier’s foundation has the same coverage as Double Wear but it doesn't dry my skin out. It is a really nice creamy consistency and it goes on my skin so flawlessly. I use my Real Techniques buffing brush, which is another of my favourites, to apply this foundation.

Another of my favourite products is my Natural Collection liquid eye liner which I use on my top lash line. This liner was only £1.99 which is a complete bargain. I find that it doesn't smudge and lasts all day, so if you like using a liquid liner I definitely recommend buying one of these.

My favourite mascara this month is the Maybelline Rocket mascara. I have previously done a full review on this and I just really like the volume and length it gives my lashes.

I have also been using the gold eyeshadows that I got in my Benefit ‘Shes so...jetset’ set for Christmas. These are a really good quality eyeshadows as they don't crease and they last on my lids all day.

Finally I have been using my MAC lipliner in Cherry almost every day, sometimes on its own with a clear gloss and sometimes I use it when I wear my Apocalips in the colour Bigbang.
